Medical dpt phone number?

Hi all

Am I right in thinking there is a direct number for the medical department in DVLA and do they open at 8am or 9am?

I called 0300 7906806 a couple of times last week - took about 10 mins to speak to someone, was told there was no update and they would put me through to the medical team whereby I was played a message telling me too Many people were trying to call, try again later and I was cut off!
