Driving commercial vehicles with a conviction

Hello,
I was convicted of drink driving 5 years ago. The conviction is spent, but it still appears on my licence. I want to work in an airport driving tow tractors (they drag aircraft into boarding position). Is it legal for ground service employers to take on people with driving convictions ? Should I forget about work in this field altogether ?

This a very specific question of employment law which I cannot advise on.

If you begin the application process you will then be notified of the relevant policy on criminal convictions. You can then seek advice from an employment lawyer at that point.
