Could the police charge me on CCTV evidence alone?

Hypothetically speaking, could you be charged drink driving on CCTV evidence alone. My question is if I was socialising and drove home over the limit. Could the police charge me on CCTV evidence alone? With no breathalyser, blood etc.

Very difficult to prove with our some personal interaction with a witness or the police. This could be before or after the CCTV evidence.
CCTV can prove a person or vehicle was at a certain place at a certain time, so could be used for things like driving whilst disqualified, as that fact can be evidenced from the camera, but a persons level of intoxication is another matter entirely.
They could prove you drove, but where would the evidence of impairment through drink or drugs come from?

Most drink driving cases are built around 'circumstantial' evidence, where the police have not actually caught the driver in the act.

When this happens the police should conduct a suspect interview under caution and collate all the necessary evidence, like third party witness statements, to make the case as strong as possible.

CCTV evidence alone is not necessary strong enough to stand up without corroboration from additional sources. The police would potentially have to obtain a statement from the CCTV operator in the control room who may have observed you driving on camera.

Without knowing your own DUI circumstances, I can't really comment any further about this.
