Hi, I had my CDT test done and my result is 0.5% as it stating in the DVLA letter, I had my last drink in April 2022 and today Ive received a letter saying I must not drive. It only says:
As you cannot meet the current medical standards, you must not drive.
You were asked to attend a medical examination and a blood test for CDT. This relates to your alcohol intake over the last month. Your CDT level is recorded as 0.5%. An information leaflet explaining the result is enclosed with this letter. We strongly advise you to discuss the result with you doctor.
Can someone advise me what I hae to discuss with my GP as 0.5% is an absolute minimum for CDT and what the next steps I have to take? Ive been sober for more then 1 year and LFT tests and blood tests are good, never been drink driving just license revoked because I wanted to get lorry driving license and mentioned that I had dependance in the past and since then my license revoked and I have this nightmare with DVLA now.
Please let me know as I have no idea what to do,
Thank you
