Will this affect my job?

Hi Sean,

I am a first time offender with a clean licence and record. I am wondering if the courts will notify my place of work about this charge?
And for them to work out my fine will they contact them or do I just need to provide proof of income i.e payslips?
I will be going into court and representing myself...the thing I am most worried about is my Job and my reputation at work.

The courts won’t notify your place of work about the charge or conviction. You will fill out a statement of income and outgoings in order for them to calculate your fine – they will not contact your employer about this. There is no reason why your employer should find out but my view is that it is best to read your employment contract in these circumstances to see whether you are under a duty to disclose convictions to your employer.
