What to do when car has been scrapped

Hi guys,

just after some advice. My car was wrote off in the collision I had.

I don’t have the log book or the VIN number any more as I subsequently had the car scrapped.

Do I need to declare the car off the road for a SORN? Or what would the next steps be as I don’t have any means to request a new log book etc…

If the car was scrapped, the scrapping company can fill in a section on the V5 declaring it as scrap. Did they do this? Can you check if they have?

I’m not sure if they. I don’t think it was in the car. So it’s unlikely they did.

If that is the case what would I do then?

Im going to give them a call tomorrow.
