Hi I recently crashed my car in to two parked veichles and blew 118 in police station never been done for driving offence before what's likely out come

The guidelines for magistrates is a 23-28 month ban and a community penalty.
There is no alternative to the ban, the magistrates have no discretion on that.
As you had a collision it may well be towards the top end of the scale.

The ban can be reduced by up to 25% if you are offered, and complete, a Drink Drive Rehabilitation course.

Is it worth getting a solicitor
For what?
If you think you are innocent, it would be, but dont use an ordinary one, get one with specialist knowledge. They charge around £3-4000, more if the case is complicated.
If you are guilty then the only use for a solicitor is for mitigation to try to talk the length of the ban down (but still within the 23-28 month range) For that you could use an ordinary solicitor, for about £3-400 (some want more but that is all you need to pay for simple mitigation)
Or you can represent yourself. Get a couple of references from people you know of some standing in the community to hand to the magistrates, look smart and apologise to the court.... save your money for the fine. (if you avoid a community penalty)

Hi you will also be classed as a hro so will need a medical to pass after your ban so refrain from drinking three months before your ban ends.

Morning Everyone I also had a bump and blew well over
Ive done the drivers course and I have been told my license could be given back on Oct 4th 2020 after medical.

My question is are there questions within the medial relating to whether or not you have ever had an accident under the influence. And if there are has anyone had any experience of DVLA penalising even further because of this ?

Im confident my medical will be fine as im abstaining for nearly 3 Months prior to medical but im worried I could be knocked back because I bumbped into anothert car.

First and last time offence

No issues regarding the crash as that was dealt with by the courts and no questions in the medical regarding that.

Hi Berty,
I got caught blowing 81 in December and crashed into a residential wall.
I had 15m and total cost of my mistake is circa 12k.
Worst mistake of my life but almost 8 months on, I realise life hasn't ended. I hope you can find some reassurance in this post.
Best wishes.

The DR1 form has this:

5. Within the last 6 years have you had an accident/injury, including a road traffic accident, as a result of your alcohol intake?
Yes No Yes No
a) If Yes, please give the date

if you had a RTC you will have to answer yes......
That will not give a refusal in its own right, you would have to have other factors like alcohol misuse on your medical notes or a hiGBH CDT result for the factors to add up together to cause you problems.

Thankyou, I was worried this was the caseas I seem to recal someone else had mentioned this.

I have downloaded a PDF of the DR1 form online but I cant see this question (Maybe the form I have downloaded has been superceeded ??)

They probably wouldn’t know, until there was an issue and they did some more checking. It will be in the court record that you had a RTC, and sometimes after a drink drive case people visit their GP of advice about alcohol, and if the RTC was mentioned it would be in the medical notes.
