Waiting for license due to covid 19

Hello, I was disqualified from driving and my ban ends on 4th August. I have sent off for my license over 6 weeks but so far I have yet to receive it. I was not classed as a high risk offender, I don't need a medical and haven't been disqualified in the last 10 years. I have my tracked number of the application to delay and I know due to covid they are really behind, so am I able to drive whilst my application is being processed.

I just don't know if there are exceptions at the moment ?
Hello, thanks for this. I have looked at the guidance and apart from the doctor piece I believe I am covered. To prove this do I just need to get a letter from my own doctor or the fact that my medical records show have not got any conditions would impact my ability to drive be sufficient.

I just didn't know if the Dvla had released any other flexibility with this given the circumstances?
