I was wondering what other people have experienced in similar circumstances.
I was caught drink-driving a few years ago and served the ban. It’s now been six years, so the offence is considered spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, meaning it no longer needs to be declared in most situations.
However, when applying for certain visas (for example, to visit countries like Canada or Australia), you’re often asked to declare any previous criminal convictions.
Has anyone here gone through this process? Did it cause any issues with travel or visa approval? did you no declare it?
