Hi All!

Provided all goes well with medical I am due to get my licence back after a DR30 at the end of next month.

Ive been running insurance quotations in preparation however one question asked is ‘how many years have you held your licence?’ with further reference to the ‘valid from date’ on the back of the licence.

Would this remain as the date previous Ie. Date I passer my test or would this now become the date my ban finishes?

Id be grateful for any advice!

Cheers!

It is from the date you first passed your test. The ban is just a ‘pause’ and does not affect how long you have held a licence, it still runs from the first passed date.

Is this the same in Northern Ireland Price where we have to re-take our test after our ban? Thanks.

Yes, it is the date of a first full pass of your test, not subsequent ones.....
