URGENT - No paperwork given, summoned to court in the morning

Hi - Doubt anyone will have time to read this, but I was caught drink driving on the early hours of 5th may and kept in police custody, was dismissed from the station without a charge sheet as apparently the wrong date was put on there and was told I'd receive it in the post, fast forward to today Ive had the police knock on my door summoning me to court in the morning as I have apparently been ignoring the letters, but I haven't received anything this whole time.. I am completely fine with accepting liability and was planning on getting representation but how can I if I wasn't told of a court date ? Any advice would help, thanks in advance

It may be that you can seek the assistance of a duty solicitor at court this morning. Given that you are pleading guilty today, the court would be very unlikely to adjourn the matter to assist with giving time to obtain representation. This may give more weight to ensuring that the Duty Solicitor make themselves available today if possible.
