Questions about insurance after ban

Hi everyone,
So two years ago I lost my license from drink driving. I was still within my first two years of driving, stupid I know!

I was just looking through insurance quotes so I could get a rough idea of how much I would be paying, and I was wondering if the length I have my license would be from when I originally passed, or from when I passed my test the second time round. I’m under the impression that it would be from when I most recently passed my test.

Any help would be appreciated, just thought I’d try here before I got in touch with the DLVA.

It's from the date you first passed your test, I checked this myself with the DVLA and the DVA here in NI and was told by both that it is from the date you originally passed
