I self reported as an alcoholic to the DVLA and finally had my medical after months of Covid caused delays.
It was very straightforward:
The doctor took my weight, height, blood pressure and asked a few questions from a form.
He then asked me to lie on a bed, listened to my breathing through a stethoscope, then pressed my stomach in 3 places and asked if it hurt (it did not hurt).
Finally, he took some blood.
The whole thing took 15 mins.
I've not had a drink for 18 or 19 months so I'm hoping there won't be an issue with getting my licence back.
