I just had my driving license revoked although I have never been dependent on alcohol ( which was stated in the letter) or caught driving drunk. This affects my not only my life but my job as the minimum is three years before I am able to apply again for my license.

What do I do?

To revoke a licence for three years would usually occur if the DVLA assess you as 'dependent' on alcohol and the licence in question is a group 2 (Bus or lorry licence). The DVLA do not take the impact of a revocation on the individual into account and take the stance that any decision making process is based on protection of both the individual and the wider public. You can appeal the DVLA decision within 6 months of the revocation but it may be that further representations can be made to the DVLA following review and consideration of your medical history and the information/evidence that the DVLA intend to rely upon. Should you wish to consider this process you can contact a specialist on 03330093827.
