Just received my court date...

Hi,

I have just got my court date for 2 weeks today.

My charge is "Drive motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit ... namely 83 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeded the prescribed limit."

What can I expect on the day and what punishment and fine can I expect?

This means that you penalty will be considered with reference to the lowest sentencing bracket for this type of offence meaning you will likely face a ban of between 12 and 16 months alongside a fine. You may also be given the opportunity to attend a drink driving rehabilitation course which could have the effect of reducing your ban by 25%.
