Is there anyway not to get a ban for a forst time offence

Hello

My son has been sommoned to court for a first offence of driving over the limit if cannabis. He has since cleaned up his act and has now found full time work in a role where he travels the country and needs his driving licence. Is there any way he could avoid loosing the licence and I'm this woukd cost him hardship and he would loose his only way of making and living.

I'm sorry but no. There isn't a way to avoid the minimum disqualification by using mitigation. The minimum is 12 months.
