Hi, I'm due to get my license back in November and have a couple of questions about insurance. 1) when I'm asked how long I've held a license will that be from when I passed my test 2008 or when I get my license back in November? 2) does a dr10 add points to my license or just the dr10? Thanks to anyone who can shed some light on these questions

For insurance, you state 2008.
the DR10 is all that will appear on the licence, together with the length of the ban. Your insurance will ask for the code (DR10) your reading in breath / blood / urine and the length of the ban that you served, so if you had a 12 month ban, reduced to 9 on completing a drink drive rehabilitation course then you would put 9 months.
