in charge of vehicle

Hi there
last week I got arrested for being in charge of a vehicle, I don't think the procedures were carried out correctly at the roadside or the station .
is it possible to find this out or is it my word against theirs.
can I obtain a copy of what they will use in court against me
please let me know.
I have requested a call back as was not sure how this works.

You can ask for the procedure (MGDDA) and the statement from the officer when you have your first appearance at Court. It is called advanced disclosure. If you take a solicitor they will go through it with you in terms of whether the discrepancies will be a defence or not but if you go unrepresented be careful not to just enter a not guilty plea just because you disagree with what happened. You will lose credit with the Court by doing this.
