Hiya.

Hope you are all well!

Random question i need advice on please?!

I was banned from driving (1st time a week after passing test, 2nd time a month later)
That was in 2010.

As i fall under the high risk offender bracket due to being banned twice in 10 years. Does that mean in any 10 year period before you get your licence back or the 10 years following your conviction?

I hope that makes sense!

Many thanks x

The 10 year timeframe runs from the date of conviction for the first offence, to the date you are caught again. If that is 19 years or less then you are a High Risk Offender.

So if i was banned May 2010 and 2nd conviction in June does that mean if i waited till next June to apply for my driving licence i wouldnt fall under the high risk offender bracket and be required to take a medical?

No, it doesn’t matter if you wait 25 years, the fact that you have been recorded as a HRO means that whenever you apply for your licence back you will be required to take a medical.
