Got my licence 9 days after medical

I took advice from this forum didn’t drink for only 10 before medical but had 2 vodkas 3 days before medical was on 23 of April rang every other day the first said the recieved blood on 26 of April rang on 28 said waiting for gp report on the 30th said they received it and could take 5 days to scan rang on 1st may I requested a blood report the next day I checked website and full licence issued for 5 years any question or anyone no y only 5 years

Well done. Plenty of reports that ringing them repeatedly gets results.

The length of the licence appears pretty much arbitrary. I'm sure there is some policy but as far as I know it has never been published. However, they seem to operate in steps, so if you have a five year licence it seems likely you will get an unlimited one next time.
