I failed a breath test 46mg but had only had 1 can of budweiszer however i have gastro reflux, being under discussions with a consultant to have an operation. I wonder if this would have caused the reading to be incorrect. I didnt take a blood test.

Could you confirm why you did not provide a blood or urine specimen? Was this option offered to you?

Reflux can amount to a special reason for non disqualification providing that certain criterion are met.

If you cannot satisfy the Court that special reasons exist then you would be disqualified for a period of between 12 - 16 months. The ban would be mandatory in these circumstances.
