Hi Martin, I've just been to a solicitor and they told me I cannot ask for the driver rehabilitation program in court to reduce my sentence. This is only for drink driving and not failing to supply. Is this true?

Was it a specialist solicitor or a crime solicitors?

I believe that if you are disqualified for 12 month or more, you could ask the Court to give you the course.

Its up to you how you proceed but I believe you are charged with driving/ attempting to drive but you need to take someone to Court with you who knows how to try and get the charged reduced to 'in charge' and most criminal solicitors are not equipped for this.
