Although I don't have a DD conviction, I recently informed work I had a problem with alcohol historically and this cascaded into work asking me to contact the DVLA to inform them of such. I've only drunk once in the last year and under 14 units. I'm in AA. The GP is aware of this. Reading through the threads it does seem as though it's likely I'll have my license revoked. I'm trying to find some peace with that, although it now means I'll have to find a new job as my job requires a C1 license and this will likely be revoked for 1 year, if not 3, depending on how the DVLA view my drinking. Will my license being revoked, due to misuse or dependency, show up on an enhanced DBS, even if I don't have a drink driving disqualification? All my jobs have been in either health or social care and I'd like to stay in that sector if possible and as such require enhanced DBS checks.
