I have been sent two medical forms from DVLA regarding fitness to drive. One form is related to alcohol and the other one is to do with mental health they need to be sent before 15/9/26 or my license might be revoked. The DVLA I imagine were informed of me regarding an episode with the police I had a few weeks ago.
I had an argument with my parents (who I currently live with and they own two homes) on 13th August in the morning because I was so angry I drove out of the house temporarily after telling them I was very unhappy with my life and they subsequently call the police to say this and also said to the police they thought I might of been drinking before going out in the car but I had NOT. The police came to the house after a phone call my parents made. I was never caught drinking driving and they have no evidence of this because I hadn't. When I did return home I did drink 6 cans of Gordon's slim line gin (250ml)after about 12:15pm which the police were aware of.
I was later taken to the local hospital twice that day after saying a didn't want to live anymore however I meant this jest, I was later placed under section 136 meaning I had to be taken to an acute psychiatric hospital. I was detained but not arrested. I was detained due to trying to walk out of the hospital the second time. At the psychiatric hospital I was assessed by two psychiatrists and an AMHP all of them agreed for me to be immediately discharged from hospital claiming I was no longer a threat to myself and was of sound mind.
I have never been convicted of drink driving, I have never done illegal drugs, I don't have a criminal record, I have never tried to kill myself, I do not have any physical conditions, I drink occasionally (the last time I drank before this was mid May and before that a few glasses of sherry over Christmas). I do have previous reactive depression and anxiety on my medical records but I have not been formally diagnosed in regards to mental health. I have had low doses of antidepressants in the past but several plus years ago.
I have been speaking to a few mental health in the past few months on and off due to my parents suggesting it, however I have been discharged from their services due to not my life not being the way I want it to be rather than being psychotic. I do not take any medications.
(I was driving home Monday last week when a police officer pulled me over to ask for me to be breathalyzed as my registration had alerted him that I might be a possible drink driver. I had not drank anything since 13th August (which is very regular for me) so the test of course came back with nothing and I was free to go.)
I felt I had bad arguments and a bad turn that day rather than issues that cause me not to be able to drive.
What do you think will happen to my license?
