No idea Claire, they did say there was a backlog. Absolutely gutted what I’ve done.

We’ve all been there, it’s not a nice feeling is it, the fact you have to wait 4 months though is a nightmare

Cheers for the reply. My heads up my arse, I don’t know how I’ll be able to cover the area we work to quote for work.

In a sense at least you’ve got until September to figure it out.

I have to ride 36 miles a day to and from work until im driving again so I bought a decent e-bike to take the worst of the effort and a decent bike seat


In between e bikes, trains, buses or taxi’s you will manage for 9 months.

It only happened yesterday so just give yourself a breather

Hi mate

Just joined this forum. I was in a cell last night for 4 1/2 hours blowing 49. I’m due in court in September on my daughter’s birthday. I’m also petrified. My first ever driving offence. Not proud of myself at all. I’m at risk of losing my business for a stupid choice I made….does any one have any advice. All I seem to be reading is it’s a mandatory 12-16month ban. So ashamed of my self

I was similar to you blew at 41 and after 25 years of driving this was my first offence. It is such a relief after court. I got 15 months so just under 12 after the course and I have under 3 months left now.

It does get better x

It was adjourned until the 15th of June for a pre sentence report, honestly can’t wait for it all to be over with, thanks for asking x

Only a couple of weeks now and you can start to put it behind you don’t forget to ask for the drink drive rehab course x
