I have not had a drink for 10 months I had a blood test in august showing normal liver function ranges but my GGT was obviously raised, I have had another blood test done yesterday and all is still ok but the GGT is still raised at 170 so outside the range, does this affect a CDT test, my doctor when I spoke to her yesterday seems to think I will be fine.

Raised GGT can be from not just drinking too much but also a liver or bile duct disorder or from medication you are taking (I presume your doctor would have ruled the medication out) try not eating for a few hours before the next GGT test as this can lower it.
BUT the CDT test is more specific for problems due to alcohol and if you have been abstaining or just drinking recommended amounts for a few weeks before the CDT test then is should come back low.
