Your best bet would be to approach a specialist broker. Put simply, different insurers tend to target different areas of the market. A normal price comparison site will target insurers for an average driver. With DD that won't yield the best results.
That said, I would say £2k is a pretty average for a DR30. The problem with DR30 is it is a slightly "uncertain" conviction compared to DR10, and insurers tend to dislike uncertainty.
My advice would be to find a company where you can actually speak to a broker on the phone. If they do business over the phone they tend to be a bit old school and can be better at this sort of thing.
