Hi does anyone know how long it takes to get blood test results back for drug driving .. been waiting 5 months now

They have up to about seven months to prosecute. If you haven't heard anything then you are likely in the clear.

You could apply to the police for your file under GDPR right to access but at this stage it's probably don't poke the hornets nest.

Agreed to not “stir the hornets nest” but criminal proceedings are exempt from GDPR normal rules anyway. I am not up to date with GDPR, requests for convictions always used to be under a SAR. But that would relate to convictions, not ongoing investigations, otherwise every criminal would request a SAR every month to see what they were being investigated for!...:
