Ban removal

Convicted Driver Insurance
In short, no.
You can apply for restoration of your licence after half of your ban has been served, but that is subject to 2 years having elapsed so you are not eligible for that.

You only have 21 days to Lodge an appeal from magistrates court once convicted. With a 2 year ban, you were probably caught with a reading of 90-119 and the guidance to magistrates for this is 23-28 months so they could have given you one month less, but it could have been 4 months more.
Even if you are in the 21 day window, you need to understand that in an appeal, the sentence can be decreased OR increased!

As I said, if you are after 21 days, you are stuffed for an appeal.
Why do you have to redo your test? The 6 points in the first 2 years does not apply because you get no points, just a ban.
Were you charged with dangerous driving as well?
Did the magistrates order you to retake your test? They can do this and you have to comply. If they did not say this in court then you do not have to retake your test.
