advice please

hiya

a friend of mine got banned from driving due to drink driving 2 months ago,(16 month ban) was due to do 13 moths after the drink rehabilitation course.
last night my friend was caught drink driving again after bumping into another car without insurance as already banned.
her reading was 91.
if you could give me any advice on length of ban she may recive now would a prison sentence be givein,costs of fine.

The Court are likely to consider a prison sentence in your friend's case as she has driven whilst disqualified, whilst only shortly into a ban. The maximum custodial sentence would be 6 months. Furthermore, another incidence of drink driving will increase the risk of custody. Your friend will receive a ban of at least 3 months. She is unlikely to be offered a further opportunity to complete the course.

If your friend wishes to avoid custody she should strongly consider instructing a lawyer who has expertise in mitigation and damage limitation.
