12 month licene renewal

its been a while since my last post and it wont be long before my 12 month licence comes to an end after HRO conviction. the renewal date is 28/4/18 and to be honest I cant remember the dvla process to getting it re-issued also I cant remember whether I get another 12 month one or a permanent?

I don't drink at all and I'm not worried about medicals or doctors reports, just don't want to mess the process up by not knowing
