You will not have to resist your test. The rules are simple... if you receive 6 points or more in the 2 years after you first pass your test, then you will be ordered to take your test again. How many points do you get for drink driving? NONE, it is just a straight ban and no points.
I have known, however, the court to order a person to resit their test when they are caught during driving shortly after taking their test, but this has usually been coupled with being involved in a RTC as well. That is simply a discretion of the court that they can impose if they see fit.
