Hi i was banned in July going to book the course in next couple of weeks to bring my ban down to just over a year. Random question do you receive points aswell? Or is it just a ban and fine?

If you are disqualified for drink driving you do not receive penalty points. You will have a DR10 endorsement on your driving licence that will remain on there for 11 years from the date of conviction and you will have to declare it to insurers for 5 years but no penalty points for the drink driving offence.
