Hi..

I was pulled over at the weekend. I blew 64 after just under 4 pints. I don't drink so my fault for feeling fine.
My question is I work in transport industry but In an office. No company car no car required for work no safety critical stuff your usual 9.5 office job.
Will the police contact my work?
It's a private company too.
I'm aware of others currently banned it's just a concern

In the circumstances you describe, the police will have no reason to contact your employer.

Thank you for your information. I wasn't sure who they contact as too industries etc.

I didn't know if they are aware of where I work etc.

I'm just a bit panicked I'll admit the charge fully my fault.

I actually told my employer as I wasn't sure about contracts etc.

They also wrote me a character reference. But to be fair my employment doesn't require a car or do they provide me with one so I guess there would be no problem.

Just upset with myself. Never realised the effects of 4 beers over a 5 hour period. I'm not a drinker and I guess only having a banana fir breakfast dud not help.

Lesson learnt for sure. Off alcohol completely.
