Am i Going to lose my licence?

I've never drank and drove and never will, but as my doctor thinks i have a drink problem he has told me to Inform the DVLA of this or he will, in which case it looks as if my licence will be revoked. Is this the case?

Hi, what was the outcome of this. Surely a doctor cant give out medical information about you with out your consent. Or am I wrong?

If the Doctor thinks you have a condition which can impair your driving ability he will advise you to inform the DVLA. If you do not inform the DVLA, any doctor has the right to disclose the information with or without your consent but he/she must inform you of his/her decision to do so.

It is then up to the DVLA as to what course of action is taken in light of any information given to them.
