My drink driving conviction cost me a £200 fine and loss of driving licence for 12 months.
However, my divorce which had nothing to do with my drink driving conviction cost me £119,000 and my house.
After my divorce I couldn't afford to run a car even though my licence was clean and had been for over 15 years.
Taking all this into account I conclude that drink driving has a very trivial
effect on your life compared to a divorce.
Doing the maths, my divorce cost me 595 times more than my drink driving fine.
Drink driving ruins lives but so does divorce.
Dring driving kills people but divorce doesn't as far as I know.
