Drink driving clause

In Oct 2014 I was under the influence of alcohol and crashed the car, the insurer was admiral who advise that if you have an accident while under the influence of drink or drugs then they will pay out to the third party and recover the costs from the policy holder,

I am now at the stage where they have sent me a bill for £35,000 and advised if I don't pay then they will start court proceedings,

Is anybody in the same situation? any help would be appreciated.
