This will depend upon numerous factors including the exact circumstances of your case, your disposable income and how important it is for you to receive the absolute minimum sentence possible under the given circumstances. Some people say they couldnt have done without a solicitor representing them and find it worthwhile while others say they do not need one or could have done without one. It is a decision that only you can make.
