Just thought I'd bring this up as last time I was on here many people where wondering about insurance increases after a ban.
I'm 26 and was paying a ridiculous amount to insure my car before any convictions, never been involved in an accident, and had 1 years no claims (should've been more but I've been in and out of company cars so rarely kept my own long enough).
Anyway I figured I would have no chance at getting affordable insurance after my ban but there is another option... Motorbikes!
I'm only getting a KLR 250, but it's still tough enough for long journeys and quick enough to keep up with the traffic. Also 70-80mpg..
1st year, without NCD, conviction declared £425!
If you need to get around after your ban without spending a fortune it's well worth looking into!
