In 2008 I was stopped by the police and they took the car off me on the basis that the car was not insured. Six months down the line I moved from that area and within this period did not get a summons to appear in court. Now DVLA has written to me and asked me if I lived at that particular address. What do I do? If I own up my insurance premiums will shoot up the roof. Why did they not make contact for the last three years? What is the best way to handle this matter????
