Hi, I have recently been charged with drink driving. I blew 122mg which is very high, I just need advice on if I need to take a solicitor to court or will I be okay to use the duty solicitor.
Thanks

A reading of 122µg of alcohol per 100ml of breath puts you into the highest sentencing bracket for this offence meaning that you face the potential of a prison sentence. You potentially have representation from a duty solicitor on the day but it may be that your case requires more attention than can be afforded to you by a solicitor dealing with other matters at the same time and without any advance preparation. I would highly recommend contacting a specialist to advise on the benefits of detailed mitigation prepared in advance together with expert representation on the day of the hearing.
