Hi There
I was caught drink driving worried about caution I had it was about 15 years old I was told it would be deleted by 19- I'm now 29. As I have been advised it was deleted is it gone? So I have no previous? And do I have to declare a caution as it's not a conviction?

Would like advice asap please really confused if I should mention it

A caution from that length of time ago would never be relevant to sentence on a drink driving conviction. You do not have a duty to disclose that to the court. The court will have access to and will take into account all relevant convictions when deciding what sentence to impose. A caution is not considered as relevant.

A caution will show up on a DBS check (often used in job application processes) for 6 years after the incident. If the caution is given when you are under 18 it will only show on a DBS check for 2 years.

In all instances the caution you refer to is no longer relevant.
