Banned 6 yrs ago !

I got stopped on the 31/08/2007.
After a year of trying to fight the charge I was banned on the 01/09/2008 in my absence(never received a letter from the court).
I was banned for 12mnths on a dr30 due to the fact I have a phobia of needles and refused to give a blood test.
I sat a course to get my licence back 3 mnths early at a cost of £169.
On that course I WAS ADVISED I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE A BLOOD TEST To get my licence back.
5 years later I still have not applied for my licence back due to my phobia.
How am I ever going to drive again ?

The CDT test that is carried out requires a blood sample to be provided so that your results can be analysed. However I cannot say whether there may be an alternative to providing a blood sample for this medical assessment. The best course of action is to contact the DVLA directly and explain your situation. They should then be able to confirm whether there is an alternative specimen that can be provided or whether blood is the only option.
