drink driving charge

Hi. I recently scraped the bumper of a parked car while exiting a parking space. I didn't stop and just drove home. I had been drinking. I arrived home, parked on my driveway and went indoors. 30 minutes later police arrive and arrest me, in my home, for hit and run & drink driving. They say they have witnesses but descriptions are varied. I have yet to see cctv footage. Could i plea guilty to hit and run but not guilty for drink driving as i wasn't stopped in my car? Kind regards.

If you plead guilty to the hit and run offence then you will be admitting to driving the vehicle at the time of the incident which will help the prosecutions case for the drink driving allegation. If the witness statements are varied as you say then it may be possible to put the prosecution to proof, i.e. can they prove it was you driving at the time.
