Urgent Advice NEEDED

Hi

I got banned from Driving in 1999 for a year, I only had my licence for uder Two years and was told i would have to resit my test.

Around 5 years ago i applied for my Provisional and that cost me nearly £100 and also i was told id have to go for a medical which would cost another £100. I Didnt have the money at the time to do this but never bothered.

I was just wondering that as my Conviction was over 10 years ago what would i have to pay now and would i still have to go for medical, Also would insurance for a car would i have to declare my Conviction as it was so long ago


Really would be helpful if someone could let me know.

The best way to check this would be to contact the DVLA, they will be able to confirm one way or another whether you will still be required to take a medical to obtain your license.

Whether you will need to disclose this to any insurer's is something that will be laid out in their terms and conditions, some may only ask for any recent disqualifications others may want a more complete record of your driving history.
