insurance while banned

hi, my husband has been asked to drive his friends pick up as he has been banned. can this friend have his van insured for someone else to drive. i dont want my husband banned if this van isnt insured by his friend as i heard if you are banned you cant get insurance. please help if you understand what i am saying

It sounds rather a bad idea to me, why even take the chance? I am not sure that any disqualified driver can hold insurance anyway so it must be with a third party. I would personally avoid it.
