Hi,
I am Polish citizen, but living in the UK.
6 years ago I was convicted for drink driving resulting in the ban for driving for the period of 2 years, my driving licence was taken away, I can not get it back,if I lived in Poland I'd have to do the driving licence course again, according to polish law. What can I do to get UK driving licence?do I have to pass the test,or maybe there is any possibility to apply for UK driving licence from DVLA,but not taking any tests?

Thanks in advance for advice.

I would recommend that you check this with the DVLA. I'm unable to confirm the position definitively as I can't comment on Polish law. As far as I'm aware, if you still held a valid Polish licence you would be entitled to exchange this for a UK licence. However on the basis of your post it seems that you no longer hold a valid Polish licence. In those circumstances the question of exchanging licences does not arise and you would be required sit the relevant driving tests.
