banned for driving in poland , will i be able to drive in UK

hi.

I am a polish citizen , residing in UK.

Few years ago I was convicted for drink driving resulting in the ban for driving for the period of 12 months.

Last week I went for a holiday to Poland, and got caught "a day after" whilst driving the car with alcohol level above the legal limit. I am facing a court case in Poland and possible 6 months ban for driving. Polish police have kept my BRITISH driving license and said they are going to send it to DVLA.

Question: if i will be banned in Poland, will i still be able to drive in UK?

There is no mutual recognition order between the UK and Poland. Therefore a disqualification in Poland will only apply to driving in Poland on a Polish licence. It will not apply to driving in the UK on your UK licence.
However, you must now reapply for your UK driving licence.
