'Prosecution Pending' before charge?

Hi,

Thanks in advance for your time. I have recently changed address, so i'm looking to update insurance details for my vehicle.

I am currently on bail without charge, waiting for the the results of a blood test to get back.

To change details, my insurers say that you mustn't 'have any motor prosecutions pending'.

Is a 'prosecution pending' for my purposes, or is this only after charge?

I think that to be on the safe side you should inform them, in writing. Technically it is not a prosecution yet. However it certainly has the potential to become one. Better to err on the side of caution, rather than run the risk of invalidating your insurance.
