can a judge take my actual liecence away from me
and keep it im not talking about the ban i mean the
the plastic card with picture on
 
Yes. Following disqualification a court will often make an order requiring the surrender of the photo ID card and paper counter part driving licence. Even where only points are imposed, without a disqualification, the DVLA will usually revoke a driving licence if it is not surrendered for endorsement within 12 months.
